Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ExactPDF (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information. ExactPDF is an Android app that converts photos and scanned pages into PDF files on your device. We do not operate user accounts, we do not run ads in the App, and we do not operate our own analytics or crash-reporting backend for ExactPDF.

Short version: Your photos, scans, and PDFs are processed on your phone and are not uploaded to ExactPDF servers. There is no ExactPDF account. Optional ExactPDF Pro is a one-time Google Play purchase; Google (and purchase-related services used to unlock Pro) may process purchase and device identifiers needed to complete and restore that purchase.

1. Who we are

ExactPDF is developed and published by Kaadan as an Android application on Google Play (package name com.kaadan.exactpdf). For privacy questions, contact:

This policy applies only to ExactPDF and to these ExactPDF legal pages hosted at reallifeleveling.space. Other apps on the same domain (for example Real Life Leveling or Letter: A-Z Launcher) have separate privacy policies and are not covered here.

2. Information processed on your device

ExactPDF reads and stores information on your device so the App can work. Unless you choose to share a file through Android’s share sheet or another app you pick, this content is not sent to ExactPDF servers.

Photos and images. When you select photos from your gallery or receive images via Android Share, ExactPDF reads those files to build PDF pages. Original gallery photos are not modified, moved, or deleted by ExactPDF.
Camera capture. If you grant camera permission and take a photo or scan in the App, the captured image is used to create PDF pages on the device.
PDF files and library metadata. Created PDFs, thumbnails, names, favorites, folders, and related library data are stored in app storage and/or a location you choose (for example the app folder or Downloads).
OCR / searchable text. Optical character recognition and searchable-PDF text, when you use those features, run on the device. OCR text stays with your local files.
Settings and reading position. Theme, language, default page size, quality, sort order, save location, and recent PDF page positions are stored locally (for example DataStore / SharedPreferences). Reading-position history stores document identifiers and page numbers, not document text, and is bounded to avoid indefinite growth.
Pro unlock state. Whether ExactPDF Pro is unlocked is stored locally and verified against Google Play purchase records when you buy or restore Pro.

ExactPDF does not require you to create an account. It does not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, precise location, microphone audio for recording, or payment card number.

3. Permissions

ExactPDF requests only permissions needed for its features:

Camera — optional; used when you take a photo or scan a page inside the App. You can deny camera access and still create PDFs from existing photos.
Photos / media access — through Android’s photo picker or system file access when you choose images. ExactPDF does not need broad permanent access to your entire gallery to work.
Storage (older Android versions) — on Android 9 and below, write storage may be used to save PDFs where you choose.
Notifications — optional; used only if you allow notifications for features that need them (for example finish or reminder notices). You can deny notification permission.

When you open, share, or save a PDF with another app, Android’s system dialogs and that other app’s privacy practices apply.

4. What we do not collect on ExactPDF servers

We do not run an ExactPDF cloud account or document sync service. We do not upload your photos, PDFs, or OCR text to ExactPDF-operated servers. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in ExactPDF.

5. Purchases, Google Play, and related services

ExactPDF may offer ExactPDF Pro as a one-time in-app purchase through Google Play Billing (product identifier exactpdf_pro). Google processes payments and related Google Account data under Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive your full payment card number.

To unlock and restore Pro, the App uses RevenueCat with Google Play Billing. Purchase-related information such as product identifiers, purchase tokens, purchase status, and an anonymous app-user identifier is processed to validate purchases, prevent fraud, and restore access. Those parties process that data under their own policies:

Free features of ExactPDF work without a purchase. Declining Pro does not prevent on-device PDF creation with the free feature set.

Google ML Kit. Text recognition and document scanning use Google ML Kit / Google Play services. Images, document text and recognition results are processed on-device and are not sent to Google servers by ML Kit. The SDK may contact Google for updates, models and compatibility information, and send performance and API-utilization metrics. This is distinct from an ExactPDF analytics backend. See ML Kit Terms & Privacy. Document-scanner components may require an initial download.

6. Website legal pages

If you open this Privacy Policy or the ExactPDF Terms of Use from the App, your device’s browser loads pages from reallifeleveling.space. Your browser, network provider, and website host may process standard technical logs (for example IP address, user agent, and request time) according to their own practices. These ExactPDF legal pages are not used to run advertising cookies for ExactPDF.

7. Android backup and device transfer

Android Auto Backup may copy some ExactPDF settings with your device backups if you enable those features. ExactPDF’s Auto Backup rules are configured so that PDF files, session working files, thumbnails, and OCR data are not included in cloud Auto Backup. Separately, Android device-to-device migration (when you set up a new phone from an old one) can transfer ExactPDF’s local PDF library, thumbnails, and library metadata—including any OCR text stored in the local database—because that transfer is meant to move your documents to the new device. Google or your device maker controls how backups and transfers work under your Google Account and device settings.

8. Sharing you initiate

If you use Share, Open with, Save to Files, email, messaging, or similar Android actions, the content you select leaves ExactPDF under your control and is handled by the destination you choose. That is not an ExactPDF cloud upload.

9. Children

ExactPDF is a general productivity tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children on ExactPDF servers. We do not provide ExactPDF accounts or online profiles. Parents and guardians who allow a child to use the App should supervise camera use, photo selection, and any files the child shares. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us by email, contact us and we will delete that correspondence.

10. Data retention and deletion

Local photos you imported only for a session, working files, PDFs, and settings remain on the device until you delete them in the App, clear ExactPDF storage, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling ExactPDF removes its local app data on that device. It does not delete photos that remain in your gallery, or PDFs you saved outside the app folder (for example in Downloads), unless you delete those files yourself.

Purchase records are retained by Google according to Google Play policies. Contact us if you need help restoring Pro after reinstalling.

11. Your choices and rights

You can deny camera or notification permissions in Android settings and still use other ExactPDF features. You can delete PDFs and clear library items in the App. You can stop using ExactPDF by uninstalling it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because ExactPDF does not operate user accounts or keep your documents on ExactPDF servers, most requests relate to (a) email you sent us, or (b) purchase records held by Google. 12. International users

ExactPDF is distributed worldwide through Google Play. Purchase and store services may process data in the United States or other countries where Google or purchase partners operate. By using the App, you understand that those transfers may occur as needed to provide Play distribution and Pro unlocks.

13. Security

We design ExactPDF so document work stays on-device. Network communication used for Google Play purchases and related entitlement checks uses industry-standard transport security provided by those platforms. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure; keep your device locked and protect PDF passwords you set in the App. ExactPDF cannot recover a PDF password you forget.

14. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of ExactPDF after changes means you accept the updated policy, except where local law requires additional consent.
